I was updating some marketing materials for Sales Graphics today, and I came across a recent tagline that said, “Presentation is everything.” It’s an interesting concept, and it reminded me of the wide variation in quality between corporate presentations.
Some companies are happy using PowerPoint. Certainly no one has ever been fired for using PowerPoint. It’s the safe choice.
Some companies want more. Here’s an example of an NBC News presentation from last year:

The order of the slides was customizable through a drag-and-drop interface, which saved sales people time before every meeting.
NBC News is making a decision to raise the quality of their presentations to the level of their television ads.
